Another work from the Ruscha show. Struck a chord with me because, yes,  its boldly graphic like a lot of retail typeface these days-but because  in hospitality there’s a particular kind of pleasure taken in  serving, and learning how to more generously give. Whether it’s clearer  communication, service notes that can bring added pleasure, colors  schemes, photography, lighting, design, or actual food findings-  and flavor combinations-the process is a joy for the giver and the  receiver…and it never ends.

OK…The Legendary Tunnbrodsrulle (translated: thin-bread-rolled.)
Lavash, Mashed Potatoes, Hotdog, Ketchup, Mustard, Lettuce, Onions-optional and inscrutable Shrimp Salad. We opted out on the Shrimp Salad but in on the rest. A Swedish Hot Dog Truck would make a splash in NYC…Even the condiment udders are pleasant and fun theater. Stockholm.

Wonder if in the future we’ll have hanging bags of homemade balsamic vinaigrette that we squeeze onto salads being ordered late at night by drunk revelers…maybe.

Colin and I agreed that this was one of the best plates of food we’d ever shared. We were out late the night before, and this plate restored us.
